Welcome to Harley Classic Riders Web Site!
Harley Classic Riders started in August 1974 and was sponsored by Connie Baumer. The club originally was called the `74 Riders. Upon the closure of Connie's business, the club officially changed the name of the organization in 1984 to the Harley Classic Riders
The Harley Classic Riders' purpose is to promote and improve the desired image of motorcycling among the general public, and to enhance the public's knowledge of motorcycles. We also serve as a non‑profit corporation organized exclusively for charitable, educational, religious, or scientific purpose. We are there to aid people that the club finds in need, medically or financially as much as possible.
Membership is limited only to people who own or have access to a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Any and all prospective members must have a sponsor to become eligible to become a member. The sponsor attests to the prospective member's character, qualifications and fitness to be considered as a member.
Our meetings are held on the second weekend of the month during the months of February through November.
Participating in and patrolling parades helps provide funds for the club to donate. Members must be in full uniform when participating in parades, and motorcycles must carry two flags of uniform size, one mounted on each mirror and a "PARADE OFFICIAL" sign on the inside of the windshield.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Including probationary members, shall pay dues in the amount of $48.00 per couple per year. Any man or woman may pay dues in the amount of $24.00 per year.
Club activities include parades and other club rides arranged by individual members. Volunteering to assist with charitable organizations and activities is encouraged and part of the purpose of which the club was founded.
Charitable contributions are made yearly, voted on by the club, and have included donations for veterinary care to Humane Societies, thermal imaging units for fire departments, Theda Star, nursing homes, animal shelters and many others.
